Gary Nagelhout

Gary Nagelhout has been a part of the Immanuel family since he moved with his wife Linda to the area in 1980. He has served for many of years as a Deacon or Elder, and has been involved in many of the ministries of the church. Gary worked for IBM for over 31 years and then retired and became a junior high and high school math teacher. He taught full time for five years at Faith Christian Academy; he now teaches part time at Faith Christian Academy, and as an adjunct at Dutchess Community College. Gary & Linda have four children, three sons-in-law and two grandchildren. .

Calvin Swart

Deacon/Treasurer

Cal Swart has been a part of the Immanuel family since he moved with his wife Trena to the area in 1983 when he joined IBM. He has served for many years as a Deacon and Treasurer, and has been involved in many of the ministries of the church. Cal worked for IBM for over 33 years as a software developer at the TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY.  He retired in 2016, but continues to work part-time for IBM at the Research Center. Cal is also a US Air Force veteran. Cal likes to tinker with computers, software, and other electronic projects. Cal and Trena have four children, three daughters-in-law, 1 son-in-law and thirteen grandchildren.

Melissa Fischer

Deacon

Melissa has been involved with Immanuel since she and her husband, Stephen, moved to the area in 1987. She spent 17 years homeschooling their three children, and then became a dog trainer and also began to more seriously pursue her love of sketching and painting. Throughout those years Melissa served as a Coffee Break Bible study leader and also led small group Bible studies in their home. She is now retired from hands-on dog training and is focusing on art and writing and leads “Sketching as Prayer” retreats from time to time. Melissa and Stephen have three grown children, two wonderful daughters-in-law, a fabulous son-in-law, and seven delightful grandchildren.

Mike Toth

Deacon

Mike has been involved with Immanuel since childhood. He has a family of 5, with his wife Meghann and 3 children Elizabeth, Michael, and Gabriel. He attended University at Albany.  He works in the construction industry selling cement block for projects in and around the city. He also is active in Immanuel serving as a deacon and on the building and grounds committee.
